About This Trail
There are eight backpacking camps along the way. The north section of the trail goes through the heart of the river. The forests here and in other areas are rich and majestic. The box is 200 yards from the trailhead. The camps have a fire grill. The orange blazes. There are some truly beautiful trails at the park. The Wilderness Trail is worth the effort. The trail is hidden behind green foliage in the spring and fall. Make sure you check the weather before you go hiking or camping. There are many areas along the trail where flash floods can take you by surprise.
