Whitetail Trail

It was from Chestnut Ridge in Lick Hollow. The Whitetrail Trail goes across the top of Chestnut Ridge to the Quebec Run Wild Area. The trail is a challenge and can become overgrown and obscured by plants. The area was heavily forested in the past and is still criss-crossed by logging roads. It can be hot in June, but the Mountain Laurel blooms at that time. The Pine Knob overlook is a short way up Pine Knob Trail. The expansive view is highly recommended. It is another 2.5 mile trip to White Rocks. Polly Williams died from these rocks. She was rumored to have been murdered, and pushed off by her fiancée. Rock climbers have been given permission to climb the sandstone faces in the past.
