About This Trail

Imported description
The New York State Park on White Pond Road in Carmel, New York, has water access for fishing and boating. The trail is moderate with rolling terrain. Start at the south end parking area, following trail markers over the small dam and around the perimeter of the lake. The swamp area at the north end can get muddy in the spring. In winter, look for bald eagles. The road is not a trail on the west side of the lake. The White Pond road is not very safe to walk on so an out and back is the best way to savesay:
