About This Trail
You can hike out to Tomales Point with spectacular views. There is an excellent out and back day hike. The open trail has a great view of Tomales Bay. The trail is a prime sight for wildlife, and the tule elk are in the reserve. It is marked and maintained, but the last stretch of road can get overgrown with bush lu pine and other shrubs, so long pants and long sleeves are a good idea. The view is unparalleled and the journey is worth it. The hike may be difficult due to the fog and wind. It takes 40 minutes to get to the Tomales Point Trailhead from Bear Valley.
