Tobacco Barn Trail

The trail through the northern section of the park goes through forests. Little Bennett Park was established in 1962, after the county bought the property. It was originally farmland and included several small communities. Even though the forest has grown up significantly since then, there are still remnants of the past such as old fences, farm equipment, and a tobacco barn. The farmer cured tobacco in the barn. Do not climb on or enter the structure. The stone foundation of another building can be seen to the east of the Tobacco Barn. There is a grove of Eastern Red Cedar trees at the junction.
