About This Trail
The trail has a brutal elevation gain in a short time but the views from the peak are worth the climb. The Sulphur Mountain trail is long, and it can be climbed a long time, as the trail goes up and down a 16 percent grade through the forest. The magnificent northern face of Glacier Peak is due south. The remnants of a silted Lookout Lake are visible to the north. There are some trails leading to the lake from the south-west to the mountain. It is not possible to bring water on the trail. If you enjoy solitute, and you enjoy a good work out, this trail is for you.
