About This Trail

Imported description
A very scenic trail that begins and ends in Mill Creek Canyon. In between, you meander up and down rocky benches along canyon drainage. A popular mountain biking trail. Bikers usually start at Ken's Lake and ride in opposite direction described here. Be courteous, move over to make room to pass and offer water if needed. Most bikers stay on the route marked Flat Pass Road. They rarely take the northern loop described here that is used for the Easter Jeep Safari. Steel Bender is surrounded by Wilderness Study Areas, so it is critical that you stay on marked routes at all times. Located on BLM land. For current status call Bureau of Land Management, Moab Field Office at (435) 259-2100. Stream crossings and countless tall ledges a real bumper thumper. Two notable obstacles: one is called "The Wall," the other called "The Fall." When you've completed these obstacles, you'll understand their names. High ground clearance, excellent articulation and lockers recommended. Experienced drivers only. Not for stock vehicles. NOTE: Dogs are allowed off leash on Odd Days and must be on leash on even days.
