About This Trail

It is a popular hardcore route. The trail is very used due to it's close proximity to Denver. In the last few years, many large boulders have been exposed. The side road at the bottom is now the main trail. The Rock Garden is more difficult now than it was a few years ago. The trail goes up the mountain and has great views of the I 70 corridor and Georgetown. The best time to go is late June- early October. It is located in the Arapaho National Forest. Call Clear Creek Ranger District for current conditions. A series of steep boulder challenges are connected by short sections of moderate road. It is a must that lockers are present. It's almost impossible to get an ATV or UTV up this trail if you're unlicensed.
