About This Trail

Imported description

The route to the top of the mountain is gentle. There are some nice views of a forest and two boulder fields. Continue north until you reach the red circle trail. The trail is not finished until it rejoins the Ridge Trail and goes to the parking lot. The area of the Sourland Mountain Preserve is rich in natural resources and has an ecology that supports a diversity of plant and animal species. Birds are known to lay their eggs on the edges of their breeding areas in the Sourlands. For more information, visit the park's website.
