A bike ride or hike is a nice way to travel around this park. It's easy to go to Shevlin Park to enjoy hiking, skiing, jogging and picnicking. There is a rich trail system for summer and winter. It is recommended that one ride a mountain bike or nature walk on the canyon rim trail. You travel through aspens and ponderosa pine. The canyon below has a view of Tumalo Creek.
