About This Trail
The route goes through the dramatic geological formations of the National Geological Area. The upper part of the loop contains extremely twisted rock layers that can be seen from the north side of the Uinta Mountains. There are other reasons to keep your camera ready on this backway. You can see a glimpse of the bighorn sheep when you wind through the rock spires. This small area is home to many birds and other animals. There is a gravesite along the western end of the loop.
