About This Trail

Sanders Hill, also known as Overhome, near Montrose in Laurens County, Georgia, is a house built in 1903, constructed of Georgia heart pine, as a copy of a house from early in the prior century which was destroyed c.1900. It is located about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) southwest of Montrose off I-16/GA 404, about 5.5 miles (8.9 km) west of Dudley. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The structure's architectural style was then "quite similar to the 'saltbox' style popular in New England but rare in the Middle Georgia area."
