Sand Creek Outer Loop

There are over 7.5 miles of trails at the Sand Creek Conservation Area, which can be used by both hikers and horseback riders. The park's trails are in a variety of habitats. There are no bridges in the park, so you have to get wet to cross the creek. There is a plan for at least one bridge in the next couple of years. The rate of erosion in the park has increased due to the use of equestrians, and this has a negative effect on Sand Creek's water quality.
