About This Trail

Imported description
This loop starts at Bouman Stickney Farm and crosses Round Mountain, Deer Path Park, the South Branch River Reservation and passes the Woods Church Farmstead. Head south from Bouman Stickney on the Orange trail which will meet the White in a field. Take the White South until you come to Stanton road. Turn right on the road and walk a short distance until you see the White trail enter the woods. Follow the White trail until you come to a Orange trail (Buell trail). Head south on the Orange trail, making sure you stay on the Orange at the intersections. The Orange trail will parallel the White and/or Yellow at times. The Orange trail will come to a three way intersection (one of the loops), take either and head south looking for another three way intersection at the bottom of the loop. Leave the loop and head south for a short distance to another three way intersection. Take the Orange trail going to the left which will eventually take you to a gate on Woodschurch Rd. Cross the Road and enter the maintained section of Deer Path park; head to the right along the road following the mowed trail. You will eventually come to a fork where the Fitness trail goes off to the left; continue to the right until you see the road (Deerpath road). Walk down the road to the left and around the curve to the right until you come to the parking lot and the South Branch River Reservation. Walk into the woods on the Red trail until you come to the River then turn left and follow the trail along the River until you come to an intersection where a Red trail heads away from the river. Follow this back to Deer Path park and the picnic area. Walk straight ahead with the restrooms on your right where you will pick up the Fitness trail again. Continue on the Fitness trail until you see the gate across the street. Cross the street and backtrack to the start of the hike. (To make the return different take the other side of the loops on the way back).
