About This Trail
Imported descriptionAn easy fourteener with a beautiful stream. The parking lot is on the trail. The trail begins to gain elevation quickly, but then it begins to ease off. The trail will follow Silvercreek past its head. The creek is named appropriately as it has turned most of the rocks to white. Continue on the trail as it does a few tricks up a small saddle. The next 800 feet of elevation gain is the most difficult part of the hike. Take your time as you ascend to notice the rocks you are hiking through. The summit of Redcloud will remind you of Mars. The dirt is dark red because of iron oxidation.
