Quemazon, Pipeline Road and Mitchell Trail Loop

The trail goes from the Ponderosa forest to the mixed fir and conifer. There are great views of the Sangre de Cristos to the East and Pajarito Mountain Ski area to the West when you break out of the forest in the burn areas. It intersects with Pipeline Road which leads up to Guaje Ridge Trail. A route through Canada Bonito leads to the base of the Pajarito Mountain Ski area. The Guaje Ridge trail can be turned East. In the middle of October there is snow on the path and dense forest. The route goes up the Mitchell Trail back into Los Alamos.
