About This Trail

This trail goes through the West Wash. The beginning of the West Wash is 3.3 miles from the start of the trail. The West Wash is very steep at the last 500'. This trail includes rock scrambling and hiking up a steep vertical section. It was windy at the peak but the view of the mountains towards Arizona was amazing. We took the South Wash on the way down. This is a steep wash with rocks and rocks. There is a 2.5 mile hike across the Pinto Basin Desert to the trailhead. This is a very rewarding hike due to the rock scrambling and the fact that it is a strenuous hike.
