About This Trail

The Palatki Heritage site is protected by the U.S. Forest Service. The site offers guided tours of cliff dwellings left behind by the Sinagua Culture. Visitors will be accompanied by volunteer tour guides. Visitors are encouraged to call ahead to make reservations. Due to site limitations, entrance can not be guaranteed without reservations. The hours are 9:30AM-3:00PM every day. Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are the only days that are regularly scheduled to close. The Red Rock Pass, National Park Pass, and Golden Age Pass are the ones that admission is by. The roads to Palatki are unpaved, so extreme weather might cause the site to be closed. It is wise for visitors to call ahead and confirm if the weather is bad.

The Palatki Heritage Site is an archaeological site and park located in the Coconino National Forest, near Sedona, in Arizona, United States at approximately 34°54′56″N 111°54′08″W. In the Hopi language Palatki means 'red house'.
