About This Trail
One option is less than a half mile and the other is more than three quarters of a mile when you add the outside loop. The Visitor Center is on the east side. There is parking on the west side of the building. It is wheelchair accessible and is in compliance with the ADA. The trail has two different loops; an inner wider concrete surfaced quarter mile section and an outer "challenge" loop which is now concrete as well. Wayside panels tell visitors about the flora and fauna of the area. A view of a narrow hollow with a small spring and pools of water is provided by an enlarged overlook area. The trail goes through large pine and oak trees and the forest floor has plants and wildflowers.
