The trail head parking lot is in the back of the park and has a vault toilet. The trail is wide and marked well. The woods surrounding the trail are dense in some areas. It's a point to point trail that can be connected by taking the park road back to the trail head. The best time to hike this trail is in the early morning when the pistol range is quieter.
