The park is over 200 acres in size. The property has a floodplain and meadow area. It is rare to find a large block of mature hardwoods in the Grand Rapids metro area. The forest has a lot of birds benefiting from it. Look and listen for warblers in the spring. The property has an open meadow and a small stream with wetlands and lowland forest.
