About This Trail
The trail goes west of the visitor center to the north rim of the mountain. A spur leads to a 4.5 mile loop back to the visitor center. It can be an out and back trail. It goes through hardwood forests, scrub oaks, and cedar glades. The Arkansas River Valley and the Ozark Plateau are overlooked by windswept bluffs.
