About This Trail
The North Lakes Connector Trail begins at Lunker Lake at the north end of the park. The trail was built using a grant from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. The ADECA grant was matched up to $15,000. The project costs came in under budget according to Chad Scroggins. The project manager was working with the State Parks System.
