About This Trail
The hike to the North Trailhead in Oak Mtn State Park is an excellent way to start a weekend. The hike should take no more than an hour. The sign to the direction to Maggies Glen can be found on the north side of the North Trailhead. You follow the white trail toward the mountain. The hike at this time is quite relaxing. The reward after a mile will be reached by reaching Maggies Glen. The Glen is a great place to stop and rest. The Glen is home to benches built by a boy scout for his Eagle Scout project and has a stream that produces pleasant sounds when it flows over rocks.
