About This Trail
The Nelson Preserve is the newest preserve of the Land Trust. It has a variety of habitats, most notably large red oaks and hemlock groves. The land is gentle and has a variety of habitats from wetlands to forest. The trail and the land are made possible by individual gifts. The Preserve is accessible from the north side of Flaggy Meadow Road. There is parking on the side of the road. The trail goes through forest, wetlands and thicket habitat. This is a great place to find fruit in the summer and also a great place to snowshoe in the winter.
