About This Trail
This is an easy hike with very little difficulty. The beginning of the hike can be muddy at the southern end of Nahmakanta lake. The trail goes from the lake shore to the ridge on the eastern side of Nesuntabunt Mtn, but the maps show it is closer to the shore. You will reach the last water source between here and the summit after descending. There is a swimming hole here. The trail goes up to the summit on the way up from the stream. The moss covered ground is home to many different types of fungus. The summit has a wonderful view of Nahmakanta Lake. The quote is: Katahdin in the distance.
