The remnants of a bygone era can be seen on the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais. The loop takes in the best features of the park, from the old Mt. Tamalpais Scenic Railway to the sweeping grassland and redwood groves. There is a way up Mt. It's for everyone whether you're a biker, hiker, driver or equestrian. You'll be missing out on some great hiking trails if you opt for the easy drive-up option.
