About This Trail
Don't be fooled by the gradual elevation gain. The trail consists of rolling hills. The weather changes very quickly when the hike is exposed. The views of two lakes and the continental divide are great. You can see peaks of up to 16,000ft. You should watch for snow and ice on the single track trail in the early spring and late fall. It seems like road to trail will drive you into the clouds. It is recommended that you get a 4WD vehicle. The corners are narrow and hard to see oncoming traffic. It was worth the effort. The picnic areas are located along the service road.
