Mount Mitchell from Black Mountain Campground via Higgins Bald

Go to the sign that says park and then to trail TR190 - Mt. I want to rephrase: Mitchell Trail. From there you will take a left on the Bald Trail. You can set up camp in the area after crossing Setrock Creek. A little off the trail but nice and spacious and a great place to take a short walk back to the creek. Continue on Mt Mitchell trail and the next morning you'll reach the top. You can set up camp on the Commissary trail after you pass the Buncombe Horse trail. Next, go down the trail to the top.
