About This Trail
There are amazing views, cliffs, and wilderness. You should be in shape for a long hike. It's great for anyone who wants a scenic trek to Katahdin, but doesn't want to cross the Knife's Edge. The portion of the hike along the lake can get very muddy. The climb up Hamlin Ridge requires a lot of scrambling. There is a small area along the Saddle Trail. The views from Mount Katahdin are amazing.
