The trail begins and ends on Forest Road. It was dispersed at various points along the route. The road crosses private land. Stay on the route shown here to avoid conflicts. Gates will be open June 15 and closed November 30. The Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Roosevelt National Forest can be reached at (970) 295-6700. If the driver has some offroad experience, most high-clearance, short-wheel-based 4x4s can manage the trail.
