About This Trail
A rail-trail is made of crushed limestone. This section of the Montour Trail is called Mile Zero because of the length it's gonna take. It goes South past the forest grove shooting range and the Santucci Conservation Area from Montour Road. It's pretty flat, but the profile makes it look harder than it really is. The trail crosses Mountour Run on three different occasions. The run will be muddy, fast and fast in the rain. In a few places the surcace has been eroded to reveal some of the larger grains below. There is no significance.
