This trail is only open during open days. The Preserve's website can be used to find local events and opportunities. This starts from the east to get to the mountain summit. There is a rock ledge in the shoulder ridge. There is a rock ledge to get to the ridge. Some challenges exist in the knobs south of McDaniel. The steep, dense tops of the mountains makes this a difficult part of the hike. The summit is flat and covered with trees.
