About This Trail

Imported description
The property is located in the middle of hardwood forest. The trail system has about three miles of hiking. The property was donated to the Little Traverse Conservancy by the McCune's. Old two-tracks can be seen winding their way through the preserve. The preserve contains a spring-fed creek that leads to Crooked Lake. The trails were dedicated to Allan Purchis, who homesteaded the land. The replacement footbridge was built in 1997 with funds from the Petoskey/Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation.
