About This Trail
In order to prevent local floods and decrease sewer overflow, the McCarthy basin was built. In the basin there are 5 small ponds where Native species of wildflowers, grasses,sedges and more can be found. Monarch Butterflies find milkweeds by the abundance. Blue herons and red-tailed black birds can be seen in the area.
