A trail goes up to a high cliff. There is an overlook at the end of the Baker trail that gives a spectacular view of the San Juan Islands. It winds up through the woods filled with plants. The trail is maintained by the Lummi Island Heritage Trust. The Baker Preserve is the first of its kind. Hikers are required to sign in at the trail's trailhead before they can access the trail. Dogs are not allowed. The Baker Preserve and WDFW land are not suitable for camping. Fire is not allowed on the island.
