An expanse of nature on the shore of a river in Shelburne can be counted on every acre. This marsh complex is an important area for migratory fowl as it is located on the end of the LaPlatte river. The wetlands and forests are frequently flooded when the amount of water in the lake increases. In order to help clean the water in Lake Champlain it is essential to have a nature based solutions for water quality. It is a mecca for mammals and birds, as well as reptile, amphibian and fish. You can expect to be amazed by a wide range of birds on the trail.
