About This Trail
We parked in front of the camp gate and walked to the trail. The hike is moderate and the most tiring section is at the top of the bench. The canyon opens up in front of you once you are atop the bench. There is a pond at the back of the canyon. We camped below the lake on a rocky outcrop overlooking a small brook. It was simply no crowds at all. The stars at night were amazing and there was a lot of solitude.
