About This Trail
The scenery and climb are outstanding. The trail goes level for the first 2 miles before you get to the gem pool. It's very steep in the last mile. It only takes 3 tenths of a mile to be exposed to the wind in bad weather. Mt Washington has claimed more than 100 lives and this is not a good place to hike in the winter. You have to know what to do if you must go.
