About This Trail
There are a lot of large Douglas fir trees. The trail ends at a fenced private property. This is a good hike for birdwatching. Lake Whatcom basin was carved by a glacier. It is filled by rain, mountain streams and water that comes from the middle fork of the Nooksack river. It was Baker. The lake supplies water to over 60,000 people.
