Lake Johnson East Loop Trail

Lake Johnson trail is an easy loop of paved greenway and unpaved hiking trail that circles Lake Johnson and is located in Raleigh, NC. The Lake Johnson trail has a paved greenway loop and an unpaved loop, as well as a scenic lake overlook. The paved loop includes a section of the walnuts creek trail. The paved portion goes through the woods and across the lake. The portion that goes unpaved goes to the lake's center. They can cross the lake's boardwalk to complete a figure 8. The trail has flat sections, hilly sections, sections into the woods and sections along the lake. The place is great to get closer to nature.
