The campground closes during the state fair. It's a good idea to call before going to inquire about availability. It is a good idea to not commute to the fair. There are 200 additional sites on the grounds. It's $30 for the rental. In October the campground is not open to the public. No advance reservations are taken and it's first come, first serve. It's possible to check in by calling.
