LaBarque Creek Trail

Rugged, forested hills and steep valleys, canyons, bluffs and shelter caves carved into St. Peter sandstone. The diversity of fish in the creek is three times greater than that of the other 15 tributaries of the river. There are sandstone glades, cliffs and seeps in the Watershed. There are many migratory bird species in the area, including wood thrush, Acadian flycatcher, Eastern wood-pewee, worm eating warbler, ovenbird, yellow-throated vireo, summer tanager and great-crested flycatcher.
