About This Trail
The Albany Pine Bush Preserve is one of the best remaining examples of an inland pine-barrens system. The Albany Pine Bush is a pine barrens environment. The Karner blue butterfly is found in this sandy area. The trails are mostly flat with a few small hills, which makes them ideal for hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. The trails are marked with disks. Most are loops and some are connectors. The hike is a big loop following the perimeter trails. Please stay on the trails. This is a sensitive area.
