Julia Hansen Butler Wildlife Refuge

The Julia Hansen Butler Wildlife Refuge Trail is a 10-mile loop located in the Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for the Columbian White Tail Deer near Cathlamet, Washington. This trail, primarily surfaced with dirt, meanders through a diverse landscape that includes wetland habitats and forested areas. As the trail passes through relatively low elevations, around 29 meters at its highest and dropping to just above sea level, hikers can expect slight elevation changes totaling an elevation gain of 810 feet. This trail provides an opportunity to experience the unique flora and fauna of the refuge, including potential sightings of the Columbian white-tailed deer.
