About This Trail
Users report that the trail is overgrown at a few points. Please wear your bug spray and oil because of the bugs and tics here. It is good to check the trailhead if there are any notices for closing. There may be a shut down of the loop on the western side due to flooding. Bug and icy and mucky conditions are common along the trail and at the Slavin pond. It seems that the trail is mostly in an open field, which is a good place to find a spot to linger on the trail. There are lots of hiking trails on the eastern side.
