About This Trail

Imported description

The parking area is south of Pine grove Mills. The trail starts on the east side of the road. The blue blazes were quoted. The ridgeline of Tussey Mountain is followed. You reach the intersection of Jackson Trail and Mid State Trail after 4.5 km. Go south and follow the orange blazes of Mid State Trail. The Ironstone loop trail intersects with the Pine grove trail at the vicinity of Beaver Pond. Go back up Tussey Mountain to the start of Jackson Trail. The Jackson portion of the hike crosses rock fields with little to no danger of fires.
