One of the last slash pine forests in the Florida Keys can be found on the short nature trail located on Big Pine Key. There are interpretive signs along the pathway that make it great for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. The one mile hike is a great option for hikers of all skill levels. The trail goes around the solution holes and leads you to one of the most beautiful slash-pine forests in the Florida Keys.
