About
The island of Bahia Honda Key was turned into a tropical destination by Henry Flagler's efforts to build a railroad to Key West. The park is known for itspalm-lined beaches, gin-clear waters and magnificent sunsets, which are enjoyed by visitors year-round. Kayaks and snorkeling gear can be rented and boat trips to the reef are available. The smallest campground has eight sites. All the sites in this campground are not powered up. There is a height restriction on vehicles. The new bridge must be able to allow your vehicle to access the campground. All sites have a picnic table. Campers can use the bathhouse with hot showers at the Buttonwood campground, which is one-half mile away.
