About This Trail
The Iron Furnace Trail sign can be reached by hiking south until you reach it. It will take you across a ridge and down a valley to the Iron Furnace. It's still there and getting overgrown with trees like the one at Freedom Falls down river. The trail is a moderate return trip because it is a steady drop. There is an area across from the falls where you can sit and eat lunch.
